Neighborhood BSO - a village for your child
Buurt BSO connects families to share after school care of their children. This creates a modern village where families come together for personal, community-oriented after-school care that makes the lives of children and families easier and richer.
We are a social enterprise which aims to contribute to finding the best after-school care for every child. As BuurtBSO we do so by providing a matching system for parents who have children in primary school to share after-school care.
Our story
Over a year ago, we embarked on our own BuurtBSO with another family: three schoolchildren, three families, and three days of after-school care. What began as an alternative to traditional after-school programs quickly blossomed into a deep friendship among our families. Each of us had our reasons for seeking an alternative - from availability concerns to a desire for more quality time with our children - and we soon realized the numerous benefits.
We believe this model of BSO can positively impact other families, parents, and children alike. They say it takes a village to raise a child. Our goal is to unite families and parents to create that modern village. Our lifestyles may have evolved beyond traditional community structures, but we still crave neighborhood support.
